I have no idea if this is "cool" or whatever, but I figure it will work for the first couple of visits.

In 2005, on feb 17, I had my very first date. I was 18 years old. I remember every moment of it. I went to dinner with him & my mom & my sister (I know, super romantic) at a restaurant down by the Fox Theater. He wore white sneakers. They were ugly. lol. Then we went and saw a show at the Fox. We held hands through the whole show and during intermission I got my very first kiss.
It seems like a million years ago, and Im pretty sure that was the high point of that relationship, but regardless of that, I still have a fond memory of this day.
Do you remember your first date? Your first date? Your last first date? Your last first kiss?

I'd like y'all all to be the first to know that I've met someone. They're really amazing and I think maybe, just maybe, they could become a major part of my life! How exciting is that? We're planning to meet this weekend, on saturday. We're meeting at the local mall, and just gonna play the day by ear :)
Cant wait to tell you how it goes!

so if you have ever meet me in person, which I realise only a few of you have, but I have a LOT of hair. More like a tone! Its long, think, think, thick, resilient & curly/wavy. I don't have the time or the energy to spend 1+ hours blow drying it, and straiting it takes at least 45 min! That's when its dry. I need some advice from y'all - you all have perfect hair!
Those "I'm so cute" southern curls... how? I own 2 curling irons and they have all been used MAYBE 1x. and the cute little poof... ya... does not happen with my hair.
99.9% of the time, my hair is pulled back, away from my face, in a messy mess.
I need some help! How do I make my hair pretty? What products do you recommend? How did you learn how to "do' your hair?

hey y'all!
So today has been... tuff... but I finally feel motivated to turn over a new leaf! Im putting myself first, making friends, not trying to find my next man, working on me. I've wanted and needed to do this for a while but I was too scared, I just wasn't motivated. Idk what happened this weekend, but I just realized that I was helping myself stay down. And that wasn't good for anyone, especially me. I was so down on myself for things that were out of my controle, I was just making everything worse.
I think it was going to church this sunday, and seeing the counselor on saturday. I realised how much I really enjoyed both & how much they both used to help me. I still dont know what took me so long to do it, but Im really glad I did. My new plan is to stay busy! When your busy you dont have time to be sad or depressed.
So now I'm going to have a weekly schedual for myself. Im working it out right now, but this is my idea:
Monday - night off, I need a day to go to sleep early
Tuesday - Mani, pedi, gotta get ready for thursday
Wednesday - Join a gym!
Thursday - CIA event! Click here for more info
Friday - YAM event (any catholics out there want to join, please email me!)
Saturday - drs appointment, GYM, and clean my room
Sunday - laundry, sleep in, church & LT
I figure if I do a schedule like this for myself every week Ill stay too busy to be down and sad and depressed :)
And I am working on being strong with the guys Im chatting with. Im not at the "I dont need a man" stage but I think I could get there, maybe. For right now, Im not txting them or calling them unless they contact me first. I dont feel/seem needy. They have my number, and they have cell phones. Why am I always the one who has to start up the conversation? Thats just not right!
And because Im spending less time worrying about guys & all that jazz, I can focus on being a better friend to my friends. Spend more time with them, be the friend Ive always wanted to be :)
So this is my new leaf, stay busy, and focus on the positive. Life will be way better that way.

Truth is, Ive only seen maybe 5 superbowls. I cant even remember most of them. The few I can remember are random and more or less pointless.
I dont have an affiliation with either the Steelers or the Packers, but I just cant see myself as a cheese head - lol so for today I'll be a steelers fan.
I was reading some blogs this morning, and I came across Summer Wind's blog, and it is so cute. She is a true Steelers fan and I just had to borrow a few things from it, to show my support for her team tonight.
Tonight I will be watching the game with the Life Teen Group from St. Anns Catholic Church. My LT leader from HS works there now and Im hoping to become a part of the core team for the teens. I loved it in high school and I think it'll help bring me back to God, which I really need at this point in my life.
So when I read this, I had to smile. Its very fitting for tonight:
"Our Father, Who Art in Pittsburgh , Football Be Thy Game. Let Mendenhall run, 6 Super Bowls Won, On Earth as it is in Heinz Field. Give us this Day a superbowl win, And forgive us our penalties, As we defeat those Packers who play against us. But lead us into a victory, And deliver us to SEVEN ! For thine is the D-Line, the Polama...lu, and the Harrison !A-Ben! Here We Go STEELERS!"
I am going to try and find a similar one for the Packers, so I can say both before the game with the teens.
**I found one for the Packers, I dont like it quite as much, but it works :)
"Our Rodgers, Who art in Lambeau, Hallowed be thine arm. Thy bowl will come, It will be won. In Dallas as it is in Lambeau. And give us this Sunday, Our weekly win. And give us many touchdown passes. But do not let others pass against us. Lead us not into frustration, But deliver us to the valley of the sun. For thine is the MVP, the best of the NFC, and the glory of the Cheeseheads, now and forever. Go get'em. Amen."
