Clearing Bad Blood

no this is not a blog post about the newest twilight movie, or vampire stuff

I just feel like a lot of negativity has been surrounding my blog & my twitter which makes me sad :( so I want to do something super fun & fabulous to sort of clear the air and start off on the right foot.

Im thinking of either hosting a swap or doing a giveaway. Now I see I only have 11 official followers (and I love you all) but Im sure there are other people who read this blog.

What would y'all prefer? a swap or a giveaway?

you tell me!

I'm excited to hear your ideas! please comment right on here (not on fb or twitter) because that way I wont get anything confused :)

4 Months

well... its 2.15 in the morning so this is going to be a  very short and sweet blog.

Today, June 28th, is exactly 4 months after JAB took me to the top of the empire state building (I bought the $21 tix tho - lol) and he asked me to be his girlfriend. We were friends all through December and started dating around Christmas, but since neither of us can remember our first date (we had coffee, went to his 1st catholic mass and then ate wings) we are going by our NYC date - its also a lot more romantic then coffee and wings :)

so here are a few pics of us - the big moments so far :)

My Blog Is About Me!

In online diaries, people write their day-to-day experiences, social commentary, complaints, poems, prose, illicit thoughts and any content that might be found in a traditional paper diary or journal. They often allow readers to contribute through comments or community posting.
 - wikipedia

I understand that some people, namely some sorority sisters I am not fond of, nor do I pretend to be, didn't like my last blog post. and you know what - that's A-OK with me. I'm not asking you to like my blog, or agree wit what I have to say. That's not the point of my blog. The point of this blog is me and my life and my thoughts. If I think something, I'm going to post it.

If I like chocolate ice cream more then vanilla, that's my opinion & I shall post it here! But if you prefer vanilla, that's fine too! Comment on here and tell me that. But what is just unnecessary is posting my blog, in a negative light, all over facebook for your friends to read.

This is my place to vent to the world, and right now I only have 11 readers. I don't care what you & your friends think  - but if you read something you don't like, stand up like I did and say something! Write a blog yourself! I don't see you posting your thoughts out there! & if I did, I would read them and move on, maybe comment, not try and turn a respectable blog into a lie!

If you got tagged in Miss Bubbles facebook note, and you like the term military brat, good for you, like it. Do what she did and get it tattooed to your body! or you can hold my opinion and dislike the term! Its your choice!

Don't hold my opinions against me. I'm sure there are things you do & say & believe that I don't agree with, but I wont hold them against you.

That's my rant for the day!

"Militry Brat"

Hello All

sorry Ive been slacking in the blog dept. had a busy weekend. went to IKEA on sat with my friend Kate and took a ton of photos of lots of things Id like to buy for my new apartment. Of course, I left my camera in my car so I will post the photos tomorrow. Then today I spent with JAB in my new town. We had a lovely Sunday together, just enjoying each other & we looked at some homes. We didnt find one we loved, but we found a few we liked. * for clarification, I am not moving in with him. I have my own apt in the city*

WARNING - BEGINNING OF A RANT
Today I was speaking with a nice lady at the restaurant we went to for lunch and she asked about us. When I told her I grew up in Europe, she asked me if I was a military brat. The answer to that is no, my father was a high powered executive for UPS and that's why we lived overseas. But thats not the issue I have, the issue is with the term "military brat". I looked up the definition of "brat" and this is how Webster defines it:

Main Entry: brat
Pronunciation: \Ėˆbrat\
Function: noun
Etymology: perhaps from English dial. brat coarse garment
Date: circa 1505
1 a : child; specifically : an ill-mannered annoying child b : an ill-mannered immature person
Now she's 18 and of course, allowed to do whatever she would like to her own body (I have seen much much worse tattoos) but I simply dont understand why an 18 year old girl would tattoo such a negative term to her body.

**this sister seems to have found my blog and Im guessing has issues with what I wrote. Im sorry I dont like your tattoo & I think your unclassy - you gave yourself that reputation, not me. You burned the friendship bridge many semester ago. If you have an issue with my blog, dont read it - that is all **

Now I realise there are some of you out there reading this & thinking that I dont support the military or the children of military families, or something along those lines. That couldnt be any farther from the truth. Some of my very best friends are military wives or fiances and I support them & their husbands 100%

This is a pic of Courtney & Aaron Todd. He's active in the army & is shipping out in a few weeks.

This is Julie & Sean Ogren. They just got married a few days ago. Julie was my freshmen roomie & I love her!

This is my very best friend Marie & her husband Michael. I have known Marie for 6 years & I remember when she first met Michael. Hes on a sub 6months of the year & I get to play husband to Marie when hes gone.

This is Danielle & Kyle Riley. They recently got married and moved to Germany where he is stationed.

All of these women will probably be in my wedding one day, that is how close they are to me. I love each of their husbands dearly and I am proud of what they do for this country. I stand behind their marriages 100% and I am proud to be friends with such remarkable men and women.

But all this love for my military families doesnt deter me from hating the term "military brat". If and when all these couples have children, I will dote on them and love them as my own, but I will never refer to them as "military brats". To me they will always be proud of what their fathers do & I will support them, but I just cant bring myself to call them brats of any kind.

I have had it explained to me that many children use the term military brat as a term of endearment and they are proud of it. That is fine by me, Im glad they are proud of their parents. But much past the age of 15, I think the term becomes unnecessary.

This is the end of my rant. I did not mean to offend anyone, but this is simply my view

**update**
I just found this bib and I think its amazing! Im going to buy it for each military baby I know

It says

My Daddy May Be In The
MILITARY
But I Am Not A
BRAT

This little bib sums up the way I feel

Braves Game

so tonight JAB and my daddy MAS and I went to the Atlanta braves game. It was a lot of fun :)

If you read my twitter (and if your the mean person saying horrid things on my formspring, please stop following me on twitter & reading my blog) you'll know that JAB and I have have been fighting a lot, well more like A LOT lately. I hate fighting with my boyfriend as much as the next girl :( its been very very very difficult for us to date long distance. we just dont communicate well over the phone (he hates talking on the phone & I love it) and he has a lot going on in his life and I have a lot going on in mine.

But having him come over and spend time with me, swimming and talking and then going to the game was so nice. Its like all the drama and yelling and fighting was behind us and I remembered how much I miss him and how much I enjoy spending time with him.

So all your prayers and good thoughts have worked :) I just want to say thanks to everyone for all your positive support!

For Eever... for eva eva eva?

hey yall

hope everyones day is going super well :) Mine is actually not going too badly, though I wasnt so sure this morning when I woke up.

As most of you know, Im in ATL for the week + spending some much needed time away from school and the boro and all that stuff. Im also here looking for jobs. I never realized how difficult finding a good job was, or how much I need to make just to make ends meet. My dad explained that I should be looking for a full time position that pays about $25,000 - $30,000 a year. I never really sat down and thought about it, but that's a whole lotta money... until you take out $8000 for rent, $1500 for cell phone, $1000 for car insurance etc.. then that $30,000 a year looks like chump change.

So now that I know I need a job and one thats going to pay me more then $7.25 an hour (what I was looking for originally) now theres the "how on earth do I find a job, and where do I look period". Thankfully my daddy, MAS is a very smart man and has found me 30 companies in my new city to apply at, and Ive found 1.

So of course, the one I found was via craigslist, and then I decided to follow them on twitter and @ them about working at the company. Much to my surprise, they replied. Suzanne was very polite and direct and I am very excited to send her my resume and (keep your fingers crossed, interview for the job).  But along with my resume she asked me what my ideal job would be and what my career goals are.

Of course my first response was a paying job, at least $30,000 a year and my career goals is to have a job for the next 30+ years. But I dont think thats exactly what she wanted to hear.

** ADD moment - just applied to be a customer service rep at Netflix**

So now Im really thinking about what my career goals are and my ideal job.

I know for sure my ideal job would have to be people based, either on the phone or in person. I love talking to people, helping people, and I just couldn't do a whole day with out some sort of customer interaction. I also love love love social media and networking, and that would have to be a part of my dream job.

**applying at Verizon wireless in newnan**

**omg - my best friend and freshmen college roommate is married! just saw it on facebook... wow... I didn't even know she was engaged...**

after that shock Im not really in the mood to blog more... sorry
