Hey y'all

so one of my favorite bloggers - Pearls Curls and a Southern Girl got tagged with 8 questions and she tagged all her readers, so Im gonna answer her questions :)  

1. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogged in high school, with live journal and xanga because it was the it thing to do any everyone else was doing it (terrible reason I know, but I was young). Then I got introduced to twitter in the summer of 2007 I think, when twitter was still very new. I noticed some people were blogging so I figured Id try it. I didnt stick with it though. My last semester in college I came up with the ATL Yankee Belle twitter name and thus my blog was born. :)

2.  What would your dream career be?

F  Do I have to pick just one? Well I cant so heres my list, which grows every day

     What is your biggest fear?

      That I'll never figure out what Im suppost to be doing. I wont find my husband, I wont have kids, I wont find my calling from God

 

4.   What is something that you hope to accomplish before the end of this year?

      I want to have a full-time job that I really enjoy and I want to have some friends in my new town

 

5.   If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you pick?

      Right now, Id move back to statesboro like tomorrow to be closer to my friends. But in the future I want to love to Australia

 

6.    Who is someone you’re closest to?

      This may be a little weird, but I feel really close to my readers. I tell y'all things I dont feel comfortable telling my friends or family. Is that weird? Maybe, but its true. 

 

7.   What is your biggest pet peeve?

      People who say mean things or do mean things and dont think about how their words or actions will affect other people. 

 

 

What is your favorite childhood memory?
Traveling in europe with my family.

Five Question Friday

1. What do you listen to while driving?

The radio. I have 4 or 5 stations that I listen to. 1 and 2 are local country, 3 is a west Georgia east Alabama soft rock, 4 is Atlanta soft rock and 5 is rock/pop.

2. What is your least favorite thing about Fall?

I miss being at college in the fall. The football games, the parties, the planning for Halloween. I miss all the fun stuff. Being a grown up this time of year isnt fun, esp without friends around and JAB isnt at all interested in making any sort of Halloween plans.

3. What does your dream house look like, inside and out?

Wow. I have this already planned out. I want a big southern plantation. Large open floor plan, hard woods though out, large Italian style kitchen, a drawing room, living room, family room, dining room, kitchen and breakfast nook. At least 4 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms. A pool out back, being close to the beach. I want a large basement with a man cave, so I can stash all the ugly stuff of my husbands. I want a large master bedroom with a fire place and a HUGE walk in closet. Crown molding is a must as is a large movie projection room.

4. Would you ever own a minivan?

No, prob not. Im more of an SUV kinda lady.

5. Do you wash new clothes before wearing them?

No, not normally. I tend to keep the tags on them until I wear them with the receipt attached just in case I decided to return the item.

Ten on Tuesday

1. What’s the one thing you always do when you’re stressed? I cry. Like today, I have cried a lot. And I get pretty down and sad, which is a hard fuck for me to get over.
2. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever done for a friend? I have pretended to be her girlfriend at a bar to keep the creepy boys away
3. What cleaning supply could you not live without? Toothpaste. I am in love with crest 3D white
4. How long do you plan on living where you currently reside? Well I'm giving myself 2 weeks to find some sort of employment. Doesnt have to be a fancy full time job with benefits, but just something to help pay the bills to get me back on my feet. In 2 weeks, if Im still jobless Im going to have to consider moving to my parents house.
5. Do you usually vote straight party, a mixture, or not at all? I always vote and 95% of the time I vote republican.
6. What’s something that you love to do, but seem to never make time for? Now that I have so much time on my hands, but little money, I miss cooking big meals.
7. What’s your favorite store to buy things for other people? I love goodwill and other thrift stores. I can always find cute, interesting things and I can stretch a $20 to a lot more then if I shopped at the mall. I try to personalize gifts that I buy. I got my favorite HS teacher Bonnie Spark a booked called Is It Good For The Jews as she a jew working at a catholic school. I paid maybe $1.50 for is and she just adored it.
8. What’s the weather like around you today? I havnt been outside since this morning, so I have no idea.
9. What’s the worst book you’ve ever bought and read? Not sure
10. What’s the closest thing to you that is yellow? Box of crayons.

 I feel like Ive been answering a lot of these, so forgive me if it gets repetitive.

1. How/where did you meet your best friend? My best friend KD was in the same youth group. I was a freshmen in HS and I went to volunteer with my church youth group. We went to an old folks home and helped out all day. Then we went to get pizza at a local joint. It was a short ride to the pizza place and she had to ride on my lap due to lack of seats. She asked me if I went to SPX and I wasn't sure but she said she had seen me in the hallway. We talked all through lunch and we've been friends ever since.

2. What would your theme song(s) be? I have no idea. I dont think one song defines me.

3. Name an accomplishment in your life you are proud of. I graduated from college, that was a huge deal to me and my family.

4. Where is one place you really, really want to visit? Australia

5. Favorite ice cream flavor? Mint Chocolate Chip (but it has to be green)

6. One item of clothing or accessory you are dying to own? I'd love to own something Lilly, but they dont make my size :(

7. What are your guilty pleasures? Twitter

8. What made you decide to start a blog? I was hooked on twitter and this just seemed like fun too

Friend Making Monday

So its Monday evening. I got a notice today saying Rhett has to go asap :( makes me really sad. Turns out the lease that I read a month before I moved in and the lease I signed had a different pet policy. There's not much I can fight except for the $250 fine. I'm hoping I wont have to pay it, since I really cant afford it. I put Rhett up on craigslist and I pray that he gets adopted soon. I'm going to miss him :(

I found this blog while ago, but I found it again today and I love doing these question things.

1) What was the most enjoyable part of your weekend? The best part of my weekend was getting Rhett. JAB and I drove 2 hours to go get him on friday. I got him from the sweetest old lady. She gave me tones of tips and food so I wouldnt have to go to the store. I spent all my savings on him and I thought it was meant to be - guess not :(

2) List two or three material possessions that you can't live without: This is easy. My computer, as old as it is, it keeps me connected to the world, lets me blog and is my main source of entertainment. My iphone - I'm on it 19 hours a day, at least. I use it for everything. My TV, since I spend sooo much time home alone, my TV is my companion.

3) Which day are you looking forward to most in the coming week? Thursday because JAB and I are going to a taste of carrollton down town and I get a little money on thu from my dad, so Ill be able to get some food.

4) Share one of your most embarrassing stories... the most recent one was this weekend. On Friday, after we got Rhett, I met up with an old friend of mine Z. I hadn't seen him since Christmas and I was excited to meet up. The three of us had coffee at a place in suburbia aka Marietta. We're sitting there and I tell Z he needs to come visit me because I don't have any friends in Carrollton, other then JAB and his weird roommates. So as soon as I say that JAB jumps in and tells Z that a few weeks ago I went to the UWG football game and met a few people in the fraternity that is associated with my sorority (one girl recognized me because I have my letters on). I went over to there tailgate and met a few people. I didn't ask for anyone's phone numbers or names to add on facebook because I didn't feel comfortable or confident enough to do that. When I went back to the JAB and told him what had happened he scolded me for not asking for phone numbers. So he tells this story to Z and of course I just want to die. Z and JAB were laughing at me, and it took everything I had not to cry. I am not very confident around people I don't know and I feel that if they don't ask for my number they aren't interested in hanging out with me. Tonight I did go to mass on the local campus and I met a group of students who are part of catholic life. I gave the president my email address so I'm hoping to join them on Wednesday.

Well right now Im following 132 blogs - yes, every morning I get up every morning and read 60+ blog posts. I love them all, so just look on the right side of my blog for all the amazing blogs I read.

Labor Day Post

 So today is labor day and I have done a lot of labor. I spent 2 hours this morning cleaning and organizing JABs  bedroom as one of his birthday gifts. I collected 4 loads of laundry and popped the vacuums cheery (they hadn't used it since they moved in over a month ago). I need to go back and put up all his decorations but I'll do that when he's there to tell me where to put things.

My parents bought me some laundry detergent today :)
