1. What is your cleaning style like?

Cleaning - whats cleaning? LOL. Thats what my friends and family would say. I like to clean and I mean deep clean randomly. I like wake up with the need to clean, and I do it hard core for like 4 hours, and then Im done for like 3 weeks. 

2. What is your favorite thing to add to an outfit to take it from casual to classy?

Make-up? Non rainbow flip flops? lol

3. Do you like stormy weather?

Only if I can stay at home and snuggle in bed all day long

4. What is your favorite cold treat on a hot day?

Arnold Palmer with liquor, of course!

5. What is your favorite warm treat on a cold day?

peppermint hot chocolate

6. Who is your favorite animated character?

Shrek!

7. What do you keep your jewelry in?

On my jewelry trees, all 3 of them

8. Do any of the rooms in your house have a theme?

My room is princess B themed :)

I used to love Trading Spaces, but I dont watch much TV these days

10. When was the last time you did something risk-taking?

Its been a while, thats for sure. I signed up to take an improv class at a local theatre - thats kinda cool. It starts tomorrow!

Stuffed Up

 So right now Im sitting in my parents kitchen, watching Law & Order about something crazy, IDK. They love this show, I like it ok, but I prefer Bones. I'm pretty sure they have another episode coming up so I figure Ill answer some of these fun questions.  

 

1. Do you see a lot of stars at night where you live?

I think so, next time I'm outside at night I'll have to look up. I know in Atlanta I can't see stars when I look up. A few years ago I was a camp counselor for the summer and I just loved looking up at the stars every night.

2. Did you cry today?
Yes, I have been sick and I have a lot of pressure built up on my head. Sometimes crying lets the pressure out.

3. What are you doing tomorrow?
I think I am going to dash over to IKEA and grab some tuperware and then I'll be headed back to carrollton to pack up some more clothes and hang out with some friends. Just a nice low key weekend.

4. What is the last movie you watched and what's the best thing about it?
“Toy Story 3" I just love pixar animation and the characters are just so cute.

5. Are you craving any kind of food right now?
Something sweet, might go find some chocolate. I was super craving sushi today, so thats what I had for dinner.

6. Who slept in your bed with you last?
Me, and me and I.

7. Where were you at 9am?
Today? Awake - looking for cold meds

8. How do you feel about your hair?
I normally love it, but here lately its been really weird, so Im hoping to get it healthy and then get a nice cut and style.

9. Do you plan on having any babies and if so how many?
Yes, I want to be a mommy. I want 2, a boy and a girl. 

10. Do you wear makeup?
Not very often, but now that I'm gonna have a big girl job, I'll prob wear basic makeup.

11. Have you done any community service this year?
Yes, a lot. I did about 60 hours my last semester at GSU but I havnt found a group to volunteer with around here yet. I did sign up for a volunteering singles group in ATL that I'm excited for.

12. What is the last concert you went to?
Tim McGraw in April

13. Do you have any secret wishes right now?
Yes, but I guess if I tell you, it wont be a secret, will it.

14. Have you ever cried in front of the last person you kissed?
Ya, but here lately he is the reason I have been crying so its not so good.

15. If you could be anywhere right now where would you want to be?
In statesboro with my friends, getting ready to go out for a fun night.

16. How is the weather lately?
OK - not too hot, but not freezing either.

17. Where do you want to eat next?
I'm thinking Fellinies tomorrow.

18. What scares you the most about relationships?
Not ever finding the One.

swimming

I talk too much, and I fidget.

I try not to let it.

Ugh... well lets just say JAB send me a txt saying we need to talk about "us" tomorrow since on wed I will be moving to ATL m-f for at least the next 6 weeks.

only one place, but its very very very painful for me to be tickled there.

1. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogged in high school, with live journal and xanga because it was the it thing to do any everyone else was doing it (terrible reason I know, but I was young). Then I got introduced to twitter in the summer of 2007 I think, when twitter was still very new. I noticed some people were blogging so I figured Id try it. I didnt stick with it though. My last semester in college I came up with the ATL Yankee Belle twitter name and thus my blog was born. :)

2.  What would your dream career be?

F  Do I have to pick just one? Well I cant so heres my list, which grows every day

     What is your biggest fear?

      That I'll never figure out what Im suppost to be doing. I wont find my husband, I wont have kids, I wont find my calling from God

      I want to have a full-time job that I really enjoy and I want to have some friends in my new town

 

5.   If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you pick?

      Right now, Id move back to statesboro like tomorrow to be closer to my friends. But in the future I want to love to Australia

 

6.    Who is someone you’re closest to?

      This may be a little weird, but I feel really close to my readers. I tell y'all things I dont feel comfortable telling my friends or family. Is that weird? Maybe, but its true. 

 

7.   What is your biggest pet peeve?

      People who say mean things or do mean things and dont think about how their words or actions will affect other people. 

 

 

What is your favorite childhood memory?
Traveling in europe with my family.

 I feel like Ive been answering a lot of these, so forgive me if it gets repetitive.

1. How/where did you meet your best friend? My best friend KD was in the same youth group. I was a freshmen in HS and I went to volunteer with my church youth group. We went to an old folks home and helped out all day. Then we went to get pizza at a local joint. It was a short ride to the pizza place and she had to ride on my lap due to lack of seats. She asked me if I went to SPX and I wasn't sure but she said she had seen me in the hallway. We talked all through lunch and we've been friends ever since.

2. What would your theme song(s) be? I have no idea. I dont think one song defines me.

3. Name an accomplishment in your life you are proud of. I graduated from college, that was a huge deal to me and my family.

4. Where is one place you really, really want to visit? Australia

5. Favorite ice cream flavor? Mint Chocolate Chip (but it has to be green)

6. One item of clothing or accessory you are dying to own? I'd love to own something Lilly, but they dont make my size :(

Friend Making Monday

So its Monday evening. I got a notice today saying Rhett has to go asap :( makes me really sad. Turns out the lease that I read a month before I moved in and the lease I signed had a different pet policy. There's not much I can fight except for the $250 fine. I'm hoping I wont have to pay it, since I really cant afford it. I put Rhett up on craigslist and I pray that he gets adopted soon. I'm going to miss him :(

I found this blog while ago, but I found it again today and I love doing these question things.

1) What was the most enjoyable part of your weekend? The best part of my weekend was getting Rhett. JAB and I drove 2 hours to go get him on friday. I got him from the sweetest old lady. She gave me tones of tips and food so I wouldnt have to go to the store. I spent all my savings on him and I thought it was meant to be - guess not :(

2) List two or three material possessions that you can't live without: This is easy. My computer, as old as it is, it keeps me connected to the world, lets me blog and is my main source of entertainment. My iphone - I'm on it 19 hours a day, at least. I use it for everything. My TV, since I spend sooo much time home alone, my TV is my companion.

3) Which day are you looking forward to most in the coming week? Thursday because JAB and I are going to a taste of carrollton down town and I get a little money on thu from my dad, so Ill be able to get some food.

4) Share one of your most embarrassing stories... the most recent one was this weekend. On Friday, after we got Rhett, I met up with an old friend of mine Z. I hadn't seen him since Christmas and I was excited to meet up. The three of us had coffee at a place in suburbia aka Marietta. We're sitting there and I tell Z he needs to come visit me because I don't have any friends in Carrollton, other then JAB and his weird roommates. So as soon as I say that JAB jumps in and tells Z that a few weeks ago I went to the UWG football game and met a few people in the fraternity that is associated with my sorority (one girl recognized me because I have my letters on). I went over to there tailgate and met a few people. I didn't ask for anyone's phone numbers or names to add on facebook because I didn't feel comfortable or confident enough to do that. When I went back to the JAB and told him what had happened he scolded me for not asking for phone numbers. So he tells this story to Z and of course I just want to die. Z and JAB were laughing at me, and it took everything I had not to cry. I am not very confident around people I don't know and I feel that if they don't ask for my number they aren't interested in hanging out with me. Tonight I did go to mass on the local campus and I met a group of students who are part of catholic life. I gave the president my email address so I'm hoping to join them on Wednesday.

Well right now Im following 132 blogs - yes, every morning I get up every morning and read 60+ blog posts. I love them all, so just look on the right side of my blog for all the amazing blogs I read.

Five Question Friday

1. Do you feel guilty spending money on yourself?

errrr Is it bad if I say no? Its not like I spend a lot of money on myself. I buy second hand things for myself as to save money. This last month I went without a lot of things so I could afford to buy JAB birthdays gifts. I tend to buy more food for myself then anything. I don't mean like food to survive, but like things to bake cakes or try an extravagant new recipe.

 

2. How well do you know your neighbors?

No. I moved in about a month ago and I have not even seen a neighbor. I have thought about making some cupcakes and bringing them to my neighbors, but I'm worried they will think I'm weird. lol.

 

3. What age are you looking forward to being?

employed! I still have not heard from any of the 30+ jobs I have applied for :(

 

4. Do you get excited when the mail comes? Why?

Every day. Mail is prob the one thing that gets me out of my apartment for a little bit and doesnt cost me a thing. I get junk mail, letters from friends, catalogs, movies and other random stuff. It's been the highlight of my day many times.

 

5. What is your earliest childhood memory?

I'm not sure if its a memory or just a story I have been told many many many times and thus I feel like its a memory. My mom and I used to love going on walks when I was little. I would be in the stroller and she would push me all over town. She would always take a back of cookies and crackers with her to keep me occupied while we were out. She would pass a cookie down over the top of the stroller and I would take it and eat it. When she would run out of cookies which happened way to often she would pass me a cracker. Since she was behind me, she couldn't see me, but with out skipping a beat, she would see a little hand with a little cracker pop over the top of the stroller. I was passing the cracker back hoping for another cookie. Only after she told me there were no more cookies would the hand go down and I would eat the cracker. This story is almost always funnier when told to people who know me because they see how I havnt changed they know my personality. 

Labor Day Post

 So today is labor day and I have done a lot of labor. I spent 2 hours this morning cleaning and organizing JABs  bedroom as one of his birthday gifts. I collected 4 loads of laundry and popped the vacuums cheery (they hadn't used it since they moved in over a month ago). I need to go back and put up all his decorations but I'll do that when he's there to tell me where to put things.
