Nanny anyone?

this quick little post is directoed to my mom readers. If your not a mom, but have an idea or an opinion, please pipe up.

I am currently looking for a job duh, you know this because you read my blog faithfully every day. I love working with kids and I have a lot of experience with it, camp counselor, primary care giver at a day care, babysitter 5+ years, tutoring, and one of my college minors was education. I dont let kids watch TV while I babysit, we do activities, play games, learn. I can cook and clean, help with potty training etc. I've got good refrences and a great attitude. I dress appropriatly, know my first aide and CPR and I can even teach kids to swim.

The question I have is, how do I find people who need a good sitter? Im already on sittercity.com but I havnt gotten any resonces to jobs Ive applied to. I signed up for nannies4hire.com today. I am working on a flyer to post in local coffee shops.

My question is how do I drum up some babysitting? Where do you look, and find good babysitters? Whats the best way to get my name out there?

If your in the atlanta area, please feel free to email me about babysitting atlyankeebelle at gmail dot com

I was a nanny after college and I worked with great agencies. They all had sitter services too so you might check there. This way you know the families have been checked out first - and they know the same of you.

One great way is to visit some local churches and let the moms in their MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) program know about it. Maybe even see if you can give them fliers/business cards to pass out at one of their meetings. You can find local MOPS programs on the mops main website.

Just a thought!
