Call it lazy

sorry that I've been MIA from bloging and twitter recently. Yesterday was my birthday so I gave myself the day off. Today, well lets just say I slept past noon. As far as the job hunt, I have a small PT tutoring job, its 4 hours a week, so it's something but it wont pay any bills. I did have an interview for a PT nanny position in the next town over. Its only for nov & dec with the poissibility of it being full time, so Id have to get a second job.

I had a 4 hour long lecture nice birthday dinner with my dad tonight. Its really hard to hear him be so dissapointed in me, knowing how hard I am trying and how much I want to succed. I almost gave him my blog and told him to read it, but I didnt.

My dad offered to pay my credit card bill off for me, and I said yes, because I know how hard its been for me, just paying the minimum. I didnt tell him about the $250 I owe my apartment, I am gonna find a way to pay that myself.

Happy Belated Birthday!

Don't beat yourself up about the whole job thing. Something fantastic is waiting for you just around the corner. I'm a true believer in "things happen for a reason."

As far as your dad goes, try to blow it off. Parents aren't perfect either, but they're great at making us feel less worthy even if they don't mean to (I am a SAHM now, but was a teacher for 14 years. I love my life. Love it. Love that I can stay home and take care of my family. It's not so hectic. However, my dad, about a year ago, had the audacity to tell me I needed to "use my mind" and work out of the home. I was so PO. For Pete's sake, I was 41 years old! Who was he to judge! All of my working friends would give their left arm to get to stay home. We've all put in our time.).

Wishing you brighter days ahead.

Every now and again I had to have some help from the parents right after I graduated. I absolutely HATED it, but you know what...secretly they loved knowing I still needed them :) Soon enough you will be ship shape!
